Dorian: I’m Dorian Hernández, a bilingual educator from Costa Rica living and teaching in Denver, Colorado. I specialize in English Language Development and Spanish Language Arts, and I’ve dedicated over 15 years to empowering multilingual students and their families. As an immigrant and language learner myself, I understand the challenges and strengths that come with navigating a new culture and language. I bring that empathy into every lesson, creating a classroom where students feel seen, supported, and proud of who they are. My work centers around culturally responsive teaching, family engagement, and cross-cultural leadership. Whether through home visits, restorative practices, or language-rich instruction, I strive to build bridges between school and community because every voice deserves to be heard.
